Dimensions: 31.2 × 44.5 cm. Framed: 49 × 58 × 3.5 cm

Bio: In 1966, Briel burst onto Cuban art scene with an exhibition of his drawings in a show entitled OP POP. His geometric, kinetic and illusion optical art placed him at the vanguard of Cuban and Latin American Modern Art. He moved his studio to 44th Street & 10th Avenue, in New York’s Hell Kitchen neighbourhood, where he exhibited into the 90s.

Provenance: Bought from dealer in New York 2005. No COA. Price reflected.
