Bio: Born in Paris, Laurens worked as a stonemason before he became a sculptor. Attended Ecole d’Art Industriel where he became influenced by Auguste Rodin. After meeting Picasso, Braque, Gris and Leger, from 1915 he started to sculpt in the Cubist style.
